“…starting from our roots, we try to expand our own personalities, trying to make the traditional forms move, change and go to different places…”

The curiosity, the attempt to see things that have connections, whether musical, poetic or abstract, is the essence of the music created by the Lleida brothers. The pieces are carefully crafted and seek the perfect combination of different elements and sound materials. Gradus has created an innovative music, full of colour, full of possibilities, as well as very attractive and accessible to all kinds of audiences. In their early days, their pioneering fusion between the folklore of their region and jazz allowed them, thanksto Government of Aragón, to record their first CD. Little by little they began to perform in different parts of Spain. For some years now, they have had an international projection, which has led them to perform many concerts in different European countries such as Germany, Italy, France, Andorra, Luxembourg, Poland,Slovenia…, as well as in the United States. As ambassadors of the Government of Aragon, they have performed both within our borders (Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Vigo, La Coruña, Valencia, Seville, Malaga, Alicante…), and outside them, with twelve performances at the Milan International EXPO 2015.The group is made up of the brothers Santiago, Enrique and Pablo Lleida. All three are professors at the‘Pablo Sarasate’ Conservatory in Pamplona and the Conservatory of Music of Aragón, as well as outstandingAragonese musicians with extensive experience. They are frequently invited to give courses and masterclasses in different institutes, academies and conservatories.
